Cheesy Hotdog Grilled Pizza

What you need:

  • 5 regular hotdogs, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 18×12 heavy duty aluminum foil
  • Cooking spray

Place aluminum foil on a large cookie sheet. Spray with cooking spray then unroll pizza dough, pressing out into a 13×19 inch rectangle. Cook pizza dough on a pre-heated grill over medium-low heat for 2-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and return to foil on cookie sheet.

Heat the hotdogs and the pizza sauce in a saucepan until warm. Spoon mixture into crust then top with shredded cheddar cheese. Return to the grill and cook until cheese has melted and crust is golden brown, about 3-6 minutes.

Grilled Hotdog and Avocado Bunwich

What you need:

  • 8 jumbo hotdogs or beef franks
  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • 1 large white onion, sliced into rings
  • Shredded or slaw lettuce
  • Barbecue sauce
  • 8 hotdog buns

Cook hotdogs on a pre-heated grill over medium heat until cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Heat onion rings on the grill until grill marks are starting to appear. Assemble the bunwiches by placing shredded or slaw lettuce at the bottom of each hotdog bun. Place grilled hotdog, avocado slices and grilled onions. Drizzle with barbecue sauce. Serve warm.

What you need:

  • 8 hotdogs
  • 16 slices bacon, pre-cooked
  • 8 slices gouda cheese
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 8 hotdog buns, toasted

Slice each hotdog lengthwise like a hotdog bun (not all the way through). Fill the pocket with gouda cheese. Wrap each hotdog with 2 slices pre-cooked bacon, secure with toothpick. Brush with barbecue sauce then cook on a pre-heated grill over low heat, with the cheese facing down first. Grill until cheese is melted and bacon is crisp. Serve warm with more barbecue sauce for dipping.
