Sometimes cowhides will also be sporting an owner brand on their side. This was done so others knew who owned that cow. This being said, any natural blemishes found on a cowhide does not in any way effect the quality of the product. Simply stated it just adds to the character and uniqueness.

Just the same as no two humans are alike.
