Turning 65 is, for many, a sign that it’s time to start taking life a bit more slowly. The vast majority of people are retired by this age, but that doesn’t mean all the fun has gone from life – anything but! It’s a great excuse to get some sensational 65th birthday gifts to really help your loved one celebrate their day in style.
There are some really great traditional presents available for 65th birthday gifts. For example, you could treat the person celebrating their birthday to a gorgeous afternoon tea for two at a range of fantastic locations. There are places all over the country that offer delicious afternoon teas and some of them even include a glass of champagne, which is sure to make for a really memorable birthday treat.
Our love of chocolate also stays with us throughout our life, so why not indulge the birthday boy or girl in a wonderful chocolate gift. For example, you could get them some tasty chocolate or even a Tower of Treats Hamper, which is exactly what the name suggests it is – a tower of treats, in a hamper. There’s Chilean wine, sweets, cake and shortbread in the hamper as well as much, much more.
You can also let the person celebrating their birthday know that you’ve really put some thought into their gift by getting them a personalised present. A really good option here is a personalised bottle of wine, champagne or whisky as this allows you to cater for their tastes while still offering a gift that the vast majority of people will appreciate.
Most 65 year olds have more time on their hands than they will have done in younger life, so their birthday can be a great opportunity to send them on an exciting trip. For example, if they like sport, you could send them on a tour of Lords cricket ground, or to see some horse racing. There are also lots of fantastic ‘dinner and a show’ gifts, which they are sure to absolutely love. If your 65 year old loves to see the sights, then a trip to the Tower of London could be just the ticket.
They’re also sure to adore the Paradise Wildlife Park Gardens, where they’ll not only enjoy some stunning surroundings but a scrumptious cream tea as well. For a more unusual gift for someone who already has everything they need, a really good option could be to make them the Laird or Lady of a piece of Scottish land. It’s a gift that’s full of humour but also lets them know how much they mean to you. Naming a star after them is another gift they are sure to cherish, no matter their tastes.
