Wear Your Curves Proudly – You’re A Healthy Beautiful Woman

I start my day by hitting the gym for an intense workout session; I do strict diets hoping to shed some weight. I swear I do not do this because my body doesn’t impress me, but because it doesn’t impress the society. Every day is a struggle – a neighbor, a relative and sometimes even a friend reminds me that I’ve gained a lot of weight, forcing me to fight with my body.

Do I enjoy it? Of course not and I’m sure anybody who is exercising or dieting under pressure isn’t enjoying any bit of it.

I’ve been through a lot, I’ve heard people say mean stuff about me and stare at me, but nothing bothers me now! I’m happy to be the ‘fat woman’ that I am, and if you’re just as fat like me, you should be happy too. Stop blaming others for how you feel. Remember what Eleanor Roosevelt said? She said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” So sorry to burst the bubble girls but it’s not the others who mocked you, it was you who degraded yourself and gave them the liberty shame you. 5 Keys to Speeding Up Your Metabolism to Lose Weight While Eating Healthy Good Nutrition

Daily Quote: “Exercise helps you lose and control weight in two ways. First, by elevating your metabolism you burn more calories. Second, by building muscle – which requires more energy to maintain – you use even more calories. Exercising promotes better elimination and circulation that helps body cleansing!” – Paul Bragg

“Breathing deeply, fully and completely energizes the body, calms the nerves, fills you with peace, and helps keep you youthful.” – Paul Bragg

A very important part of a healthy lifestyle is to exercise your body correctly and consistently and to practice deep breathing. These keys are in addition, of course, to good nutrition and eating healthy. Let me emphasize that the starting point to improving your health and losing unhealthy weight is to start eating healthy live organic whole food and to stop eating denatured, packaged, unhealthy dead processed man-made “foods” which are loaded with toxins, unhealthy fats, sugars, salt, and excit0-toxins. In other words, first focus on creating a healthy nutritious diet that will sustain your body and give it the nutrition it needs to function properly, and then, add healthy daily exercise and deep breathing. How To Successfully Keep Up With Your Diet

To keep on top of your healthy diet you need to allow yourself time to eat mindfully. You also would need time to wind down after a hard day at work or doing housework. Also, set aside half an hour per day to do your exercise.

How can you achieve all those goals?

1. As a mother and housewife, delegate your housework. This will free up time to look after you. You will be able to relax, do your exercises and eat mindfully. For instance, your daughter can take over the vacuum cleaning and dusting. Your husband can do the shopping or online shopping. If you have a dog, YOU walk him.

2. Let your family know that you are on a healthy diet at the moment. Ask them to support you whenever they can. Let me also know what time you will be doing your exercise or meditation. Plan your exercising into your daily chores agenda. Before you go for your daily jogging exercise ask your family whether one of them wants to join you. Exercising together is more motivating and encouraging. Budding up is more fun too. Continue reading “How To Successfully Keep Up With Your Diet”

12 Healthy Healing Foods From the Bible

Why does our society seem to seek every way to overcome sickness and disease other than looking in the best Instruction Manual that’s been around for thousands of years? Why do we avoid the simplicity of the basics when it comes to our health? The “basics” I refer to are eating healthy foods, getting regular exercise and adequate sleep.

Of course, the best instruction manual I am referring to is the Bible and there must be hundreds of books out there educating us on the importance of adequate exercise and sleep. Yes, there are scads of books on what to eat, too, but if they tell you to eat something that seems to contradict what the Bible says is OK, you probably should do some serious research before incorporating it into a regular eating plan.

There are actually some diet/eating plans being promoted that in the long run, may not be very healthy. What a shame if you lose weight, for example, and then have a heart attack because you were eating way too much meat or didn’t get adequate nutrition. How to Eat Healthy Using Simple Healthy Eating Math

Eating healthy is not complicated. It doesn’t have to be hard.

Many of us overcomplicate it and make this WAY harder than it has to be. This makes it easy to get frustrated, throw up your hands and say “screw it!”, and go back to eating fried pooptaters from Applebee’s.

So today, we’re going to break down Healthy Eating Math, in the simplest way possible.

There are seven (7) days in a week. Let’s assume you eat three (3) meals per day (yes, I know, we sometimes eat snacks and some days we eat 4 meals but other days we only manage 2, whatever, I’m keeping the math easy).

7×3 = 21. 21 meals per week.

You have 21 opportunities to eat healthy. Continue reading “How to Eat Healthy Using Simple Healthy Eating Math”

Fructose Malabsorption: When Fruits and Vegetables Aren’t Healthy

“Pregnant belly.” That was the most accurate way I could describe how my stomach used to look after eating. No more than a couple of hours after a meal, my abdomen would swell to more than twice its normal size, and the pain in my belly was intense. It often lasted for days, and despite all of my best efforts at tracking my diet I was unable to identify any one food trigger.

In fact, the foods I was eating seemed to have completely unpredictable effects. I could eat an apple and some whole grain cereal with milk for breakfast one day and have little to no trouble, and the next day the same foods would trigger the pain and bloating in full force. The only common denominator I could identify was food itself.

The less I ate, the better I felt, and so I started eating as little as possible in an effort at pain management. I often avoided social situations because of the unpredictability and the potential pressure to eat, and I was losing weight. Fast. At 5’5″ I went from 130 pounds to less than 110 in a relatively short time. It was clear to me that this was not a sustainable lifestyle. The rapid weight loss, combined with a trip to the emergency room one night with the worst pain I had experienced yet, led me to seek the help of GI specialist, Dr. Martin Hahn. Healthy Body and Healthy Mind Lead to Good Life

A healthy life is important to lead a good life. Our health is like a wall pre-requisite to draw a picture. We are the architect of our own health. Either we prevent being unhealthy or cure the damage already done. Physical fitness is very vital. Fitness is a relative term. A sprinter should have a different degree of fitness as compared to a music teacher. There are many more dimensions one can bring to define fitness. Depending upon the required level of fitness, one should take appropriate steps.

More than five billion people live in this world. The body constitution of each one of us is different. The calories needed for every individual is different. There is no one common prescription for everyone in this world. Let us take few examples. The energy level needed for a professional designer is different from a taxi driver. To prescribe a labourer to grab a cereal bar for breakfast is ridiculous. My dad’s friend, a chain smoker died at the age of 83! Believe me, I observed him leading a healthy life. I am not recommending you to smoke to live a healthy life. I try to drive home the point that you should not get carried away by exciting information that is available around you and go overboard to apply in your daily life also. That is dangerous to a healthy life. Continue reading “Healthy Body and Healthy Mind Lead to Good Life”

Eating Healthy Is a Must for Every Serious Entrepreneur

Healthy eating is all about balanced and moderate eating, consisting of healthy meals at least three times per day.

Healthy eaters eat many different types of foods, not limiting themselves to one specific food type or food group.

Eating healthy requires quite a bit of leeway. You might eat too much or not enough; consume foods that are sometimes more or less nutritious. However, you should always fuel your body and your brain regularly with enough food to keep both your mind and body strong and alert.

A healthy eater is a good problem solver. Healthy eaters have learned to take care of themselves and their eating with sound judgment and making wise decisions. Healthy eaters are always aware of what they eat, and know the effect that it will have on their bodies.

When someone is unable to take control of their eating, they are also likely to get out of control with other aspects of life as well. They could end up spending too much, talking too much, even going to bed later and later. Continue reading “Eating Healthy Is a Must for Every Serious Entrepreneur”
