Tres Leches Cake Recipe

o 1 cup of sweetened and condensed milk

o 1 cup heavy cream and 3/4 cup of heavy cream

o 1 tablespoon of rum

o 1 pinch of salt

o Fresh berries or cinnamon as optional garnishes

Directions for Tres Leches cake recipe:

o Combine the flour, baking powder and salt

o In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, oil and 1 teaspoon of vanilla

o Add eggs to sugar mix one at a time

o Combine well

o Stir in the 1/2 cup of milk

o Gently fold in the flour mix

o Pour the batter into a cake pan

o Bake in the oven at 325 degrees for about 30 or 40 minutes

o Let the cake cool

o Turn it over onto a plate that has raised edges

o Poke the cake with a fork

o Let it cool for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator

o Whisk 1 cup of the milk, 1 cup of the sweetened and condensed milk, 1 cup of the heavy cream and rum

o Slowly pour the mix over top of the cake when cooled

o Refrigerate for one hour

o Occasionally, spoon the milk back over top of the cake

o In a mixing bowl, add 3/4 cup of the heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of the vanilla and 1 tablespoon of the white sugar

o Beat until it forms stiff and white peaks

o Spread the mix over top of the cake

o Sprinkle on top with the cinnamon

o Garnish with fresh berries
